Deer Bush Dog Training Club Inc has been in operation since 1976 at Fairfield Showground on Smithfield Rd, Prairiewood. 

The grounds are located at the rear of showground next to Steam Trains. Clubhouse on right.

The club is a non -profit organisation run by a dedicated committee and a team of instructors who work together on a voluntary basis to serve and educate the local dog community in their responsibility of owning and training a dog.

OBEDIENCE New Members can start training ANY Tuesday. Enrolments from 7pm until 7.20pm.   

OBEDIENCE Training starts 7.30pm

There are 2 sessions you DO NOT have to do both sessions.

Membership Fees CASH ONLY,                  No Eftpos

As of 1st May Membership fees are $70 for a Family Membership, 2 members and more than 2 dogs, $60 Single Membership 1 dog & $50 Junior / Pensioner Membership for 1 dog. 

The membership fee includes a $20 Joining fee and also a 1 mtr lead for all NEW members. Membership are from 1st May to 30th June. 

Half year membership available form November each year until 30th June.

 GENERAL MEETINGS are held at 8.15pm on second Tuesday of  February, April, June, August, October, December . ALL MEMBERS WELCOME

If it is raining on 2nd Tuesday evenings on  General Meeting Nights the General meeting will start at 7.30pm and training will be cancelled.

NO TRAINING IF  TEMP IS OVER 35 degrees at 6pm

 AGILITY Wednesday nights.  Set up time 6.30pm. Beginners from 7pm.  Basic  dog obedience is required and dog MUST be able to work off lead. ALL MEMBERS from Green class can also train at Agility training nights.

Flyball on Thursday nights. Beginners 7pm , Triallers 8pm. This event is run by Southern Cross Flyball

The aim of the club is:

  • Promote responsible dog ownership and develop this through our classes in obedience from introductory to trialling.  The major emphasis in these classes is the use of positive reinforcement methods.
  • Provide many positive and fun experiences and opportunities for dog socialisation in a non-threatening environment.

Please bring your dog's current vaccination papers and microchip number with you.  

All handlers are responsible for their own dog/s whilst on the ground on the day.

Dogs MUST be a minimum age of FOUR Months before joining the club.

Please note all members should wear shoes to training. For safety PLEASE NO THONGS in class
